The thickness of the chopped onion is approximately 2-3 mm. We put it on the bottom of the baking sheet with a double bottom. Onions will serve as a pillow for our fish and protect it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Step 3: lay the fish.

Thawed tilapia carcasses, rinse under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Put the prepared fish on top onion. Slightly salted, enough will be enough 2 - 3 whispers of salt. Do not overload, we have yet to use the salt. Now season the fish. Pepper, it also needs a little, can be put to taste. The main thing is that the fish is fragrant. So put a pinch of black ground pepper, a pinch of white pepper and a pinch of allspice. Black pepper improves taste, white and allspice peppers give baked tilapia a magnificent aroma.

Step 4: add the cream.

Add to pepper and salted fish 150 grams 20% cream, they will complement the taste of the fish and make it soft and airy, the fish will melt in your mouth. Just pour the cream on top of the fish. Cream must be oily, otherwise they may curdle when baked. Black bread is preferred in the recipe, but you can take any bread to your liking. The main thing is that it is fresh and easy to grind. Pour the finished bread crumbs into a deep bowl. In the meantime take 200 grams of any hard cheese and rub it on a cutting board with a grater. Cheese is best grated on a coarse grater. We add beaten chicken eggs into a deep bowl with bread crushed into crumbs and knead with a tablespoon. Add the grated hard cheese, add salt to the ingredients and again mix everything thoroughly with the same spoon.

Step 6: place the prepared ingredients on a baking sheet.

We spread the mixed mass with spices, cheeses, beaten eggs and crushed bread crumbs on pickled tilapia fillets, peacefully lying on chopped onions. We distribute the mass with a thin layer over the entire surface of the fish using a tablespoon. If the tilapia fillet contains small holes not covered by the bread mass, do not worry. A beaten egg along with melted cheese, during baking, spread over the entire surface of the fish, and cover it with a layer, covering all the holes. Take lemonwash it under running water and cut it in half into two parts. We will leave one of the parts for decoration. We take the second part in our hands and squeeze the juice from it directly onto a mass of eggs, cheese and bread crumbs covering the fish and onions. Lemon juice saturates the fish and makes it more flavorful.

Step 7: bake tilapia under a bread crust.

Turn on the oven and heat it up to 180 - 200 degrees. In a preheated oven, send a baking sheet with all the raw ingredients as yet. And bake the whole mass 25-30 minutes. During cooking, tilapia is covered with a beautiful golden brown crust. The aroma is incredible throughout the kitchen. When our dish is fully cooked, remove the pan from the oven.
