Making jelly "Orange slices":

Step 1: Process the oranges.

Before cooking, oranges should be washed as thoroughly as possible with running water, dried, and then cut in half across. Carefully take out the flesh of the orange and transfer it to a plate. When the halves of the oranges are free, they must also be freed from the films, and then washed and dried again. Squeeze the juice out of the orange pulp and while we leave it, it will come in handy soon.

Step 2: Prepare the base of the Orange Slices jelly.

Almost all jellies that are cooked at home are cooked with gelatin or packaged jelly. Therefore, open a bag of gelatin, pour its contents into a metal mug and pour 100 ml of cold boiled water. Stir to break the lumps and let stand so that it swells. For this we need 7-10 minutes.

Step 3: Cook the Orange Slices Jelly.

When the gelatin swells, add sugar to it and put it in a water bath - for those who don’t know what it is, I’ll explain - a wide tank of water is placed on the burner, and a mug of gelatin is placed in it. Thus, gelatin is heated with hot water, not fire. Bring gelatin and sugar to complete dissolution, and then remove from heat. Pour orange juice into the resulting syrup, mix and filter. We place the orange halves in small cups, tea or coffee, so that they do not accidentally tip over, and fill them with an orange-gelatin mixture. Now you need to let the jelly freeze. Therefore, we remove the oranges in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours, and preferably all night.

Step 4: Serve the finished Orange Slices jelly.

When the jelly hardens completely, we take the oranges out of the refrigerator, remove the cups. And we cut oranges into slices and put them on a beautiful dish. This very beautiful and delicious dessert will surely appeal to both children and adults. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - If you are preparing dessert only for an adult company, then add white wine and vanilla sugar to the jelly. It will taste very good.

- - You can use not only oranges, but also other citrus fruits, for example, grapefruit gives jelly a very pleasant bitterness.

- - Packaged jelly with different flavors is also suitable for cooking. When soaking it, remember that you should always add less water than indicated in the instructions. So the jelly will become more saturated taste and harden better.

- - If you accidentally damage the orange peel, then before pouring the jelly, first grease the damaged area with the same gelatin and let it harden - it forms a protective film and will not allow the jelly to leak.
